Did you ever wonder about the origins of the idea of “give an apple to the teacher?” We sure did. Maybe it’s the idea that apples are healthy and you’re wishing the teacher good health? We have no idea to be honest. But we do have a hunch that if you personalized these note cards for your teacher, they’d be an even bigger hit than an apple. Of course, these note cards are great for any apple lovers (even the computer types!) and they match our Appleseed Birth Announcements as well. Regardless of the purpose, your apple stationery will be printed on lux, 100% recycled paper and we’ll plant a tree with every order (though we can’t promise it will be an apple tree).

I design from the dual perspective of a designer and a customer and this is challenging. I take the audience into account and strive to be different. My inspiration could be a theme, an idea or a concept. I might capture nature and its possibilities. I myself like simplicity, yet it has to have that “hint of wit.” I can hardly stand design for the pure aesthetic of it. Even if it is decoration, it needs to be striking in its context. I am struck by the different movements, centuries and cultures of Fine Art, Architecture, Typography, Fashion, and Interior and Industrial Design. Their forms, colors, combinations and ideals are full of hints and inspiration to me. Also I am affected by the things that surround me. A simple idea taken further or an “old” style shown in a new way can be fun! www.thersche.com
