Description
In this limited-edition series, Paper Culture is proud to feature Halimah Igwelaezoh and her illustrations inspired by both this moment in time, but also a lifetime of lived experiences. Halimah is a British-Nigerian illustrator and these pieces depict her story. All profits from this series will be donated to organizations supporting environmental justice. In her own words: Being Black means experiencing seen and unseen injustice and barriers. There is no doubt that the cycle of injustice must be broken. But at the same time, I believe many of the Black Lives Matter discussions speak so eloquently about the injustice we fight against, but sometimes forget the beauty that we fight for. I created this set to capture both the struggle and the joy.
