Paper Culture

Paper Culture is now a Certified B Corporation.

I am so excited to share that Paper Culture has become a Certified B Corporation.

At its most basic level, becoming a B Corp means that we have undergone a rigorous certification process that measures our commitment to our employees, communities, customers, & the planet. But personally, it feels so much bigger.

We have long viewed B Corps as a shining light in business. The question that really underlies all of the process is: are we a “force for good.” It’s such a powerful question. But we don’t look in the mirror and see bleeding hearts either. We believe that responsible business is good business.

For us, the certification process took 1.5 years. But moreso, it is a testament to 14 years of building Paper Culture with a focus on design and sustainability. From Day 1, we’ve used exclusively 100% post-consumer recycled paper for our holiday cards and wedding invitations. We’ve offset our carbon footprint to achieve carbon neutrality. As part of our plant a tree program, we’ve planted over 1,000,000 trees on behalf of you, our customers. Ultimately, that means that with each purchase you’ve made, you’ve helped make the planet a little better. We hope we inspire you with your purchase. We hope you’ll return, but even more importantly, we hope you’ll take that experience and demand the same from other companies. You’ll tell your friends. They’ll tell their friends. And that … that is how we collectively make a difference.

We are proud and extremely humbled to join such an amazing group of companies certified as B Corps. Many of these companies are the ones we model our company after such as Patagonia, Beautycounter, and Ben & Jerry’s to name a few. We stand in awe of the impact that these companies have already had. We look forward to joining forces with our new peers, because only together can we truly effect the change this world needs.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. Today, we celebrate together.

Sincerely,
Christopher Wu
