What is the ordering process?
Your cards will be printed within ~4 business days after payment and proof approval, usually sooner.
What is the Satisfaction Guarantee, i.e. the return policy?
We take pride in the quality of our products and services and are committed to delivering a great experience. Your satisfaction is our #1 concern. If you are not happy with your order, we provide a 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee. We will refund your money.
Any refund will exclude the initial shipping & handling costs, but will include the cost of any return shipping, except under the following circumstances:
- If you approve a proof that has missing information, typos, capitalization mistakes or the wrong information, we will not provide a refund. Therefore, it's very important to review your proof carefully prior to approval.
- If the inherent problem is the photo you are using, we do our best to both advise you and do minor photo editing; however, ultimately, the responsibility to provide a great photo rests with you. If you use a photo that we recommend against you using, and you use it anyways, we will not provide a refund.
If your order does not fall into either of the exceptions above, email us at [email protected] within 14 days from the date of shipping or 7 days from the day you received your shipment (whichever is later). Make sure to include an explanation for your dissatisfaction, so that we can improve our offering, and your order number, which can be found either in your My Account page or in your confirmation email. Upon receiving your email, we will process your refund and send you an email confirmation. You may also be asked to return the defective product, for which Paper Culture will pay the shipping and handling. If you request a refund and receive it, you agree that your acceptance of the refund constitutes your sole and exclusive remedy with respect to the order refunded. You also agree that you will have no right to use the products or services for which you received a refund, and agree to return the products in their original condition.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
You can check the status of your order by looking up the Status under the My Account link that can be found on the Paper Culture home page. If your order has not yet printed, send an email to [email protected] with your order number. Once your order has been canceled, we will send you an email confirming your cancellation and with a full refund. If this is your first cancellation, there is no charge to cancel an order before it has been printed. After your first cancellation there will be a cancellation charge of $20 per order.

How much do the Wall Decals cost?
The price of the Wall Decals and Photo Stickers varies by product. The prices range from $14.99 for the smallest (9.25 x 9.25 inch decals) to $139.99 per set (for the 28.75 x 60 inch decals). The prices of each item are listed with each product. Shipping is $8.99 flat-rate for any combination of Wall Decals.
What type of paper do you use?
As part of Paper Culture's commitment to the environment, Paper Culture uses 100% post-consumer recycled paper on our cards, envelopes and sticker products like our address labels and gift tags. Unlike some other companies, we don't have an eco-friendly line… our entire catalog is eco-friendly. Even our packaging is recycled. For the paper geeks out there, we use responsible forestry certified paper, generated with wind power. Our cards are produced on heavyweight 130lb paper. Compare this to "normal" cardstock which is usually 70-80lb and some of our “premium” competitors who feature 100lb-110lb paper. What do you mean by "eco-friendly"?
When we say our cards are eco-friendly, we're talking both about the paper and process. Here are some of the reasons:
- 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Cards: most cards are printed on “virgin” fiber. Even those that are “recycled” usually contain low percentages of post-consumer content. Our cards are all printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper.
- Carbon Neutral: As a company, Paper Culture offsets its carbon footprint as a CarbonFree™ Partner of CarbonFund.org.
- Wind Power Generated: well, this one is pretty simple – the paper was produced using wind power.
What material do you use for your Wall Decals?
All Paper Culture Wall Decals are made from a removable, repositionable fabric material with a water-based adhesive. You can peel them off the sheet and stick them directly onto almost any dry, clean indoor wall. As you apply almost any decal, you may get little bubbles beneath your decal. With many decals, you will have to peel it off and reapply in order to get rid of the bubbles. With our breathable fabric material, you can simply smooth out the bubbles and the special material releases the air without requiring you to peel off the decal and reapply. Our fabric material contains no vinyl, no PVCs and no phthalates (yes, those things are yucky!). So, not only can you feel good when you look at your decals, you'll feel good about knowing what they're made of as well.
Are there any special instructions for applying my Wall Decals?
Because Paper Culture Wall Decals are made from removable and repositionable fabric, they are incredibly easy to apply and reapply. The primary criteria is to pick a clean and dry indoor surface. Just peel and stick. If bubbles appear, our fabric material enables you to simply smooth out the bubbles with your hand without needing to reapply the decal. If you wish to remove your decal, simply place it back on the sheet it came with for safe storage. Of course, our decals work better on some surfaces than others.

So, your decals are removable, but how long do they really last?
In truth, it depends on how the decals are treated. Look, fabric wall decals are not archival art. They are fun ways to decorate your home or business. In a clean, dry indoor environment without exposure to direct sunlight, they will last 1-3 years. The more you reapply and remove the decals, the more dirt will accumulate on the adhesive, then the stickiness will decrease. We don't recommend using our decals for outdoor applications, as the temperature and humidity fluctuation will negatively impact performance.
How do I remove my Wall Decals?
Paper Culture Wall Decals are made from a special removable and repositionable fabric. To remove your wall decals, simply peel back one of the corners, and slowly pull the decal along the edges of the wall (instead of pulling away from the wall). There is a small chance of paint peeling off with any wall decal, but peeling it across the wall minimizes that risk. Because we cannot know the condition of each wall, we are not responsible for paint that may peel off with the removal of a wall decal. We recommend keeping the sheet that your decals are on when we ship them to you in case you want to take your decals off the wall to store for future use. While the performance of each decal will depend on the environment -- with clean, dry walls, you should be able to apply and reapply the decal 10-20 times without any issues. We have decals in our office that have been removed and reapplied hundreds of times and still maintain their adhesive, though that's probably at the extreme. The cleaner your walls are, the more often you will be able to remove and reapply your wall decals.
What is the difference between Mailed For You and Shipped To You delivery?

Mailed For You delivery: We print the envelopes with both return and recipient addresses. We stamp and mail each card on your behalf. The cost is only $0.30 per card plus the actual cost of the stamps. You can also choose to order extra cards with blank envelopes that are sent to you with this option.
Shipped To You delivery: We send you either printed or blank envelopes and printed cards. With Standard shipping, Shipped To You orders are sent out by Ground delivery that usually takes 1-5 business days. We offer guaranteed Overnight delivery for $35.00 and 2 Day delivery for $25.00, but it’s important to note that those guaranteed times are for shipping only. Your orders still have waiting time to get printed, and typically 1 day to dry after printing. To upgrade to Expedited or Express shipping, select the shipping method on the Billing page during checkout. Delivery estimates apply to shipments made to the continental United States only. Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico & other US territories usually take longer, and for these locations, Expedited and Express shipping may not be available for all products.
How long does it take for my cards to arrive?
After you approve your proof and we receive your payment, your order will be printed within ~4 business days, usually sooner. After that, your Mailed For You cards will be sent out via First-Class Mail. First-Class Mail usually takes 1-5 business days. With Standard shipping, Shipped To You orders are sent out by Ground delivery that usually takes 1-5 business days. We offer guaranteed Overnight delivery for $35.00 and 2 Day delivery for $25.00, but it’s important to note that those guaranteed times are for shipping only. Your orders still have waiting time to get printed, and typically 1 day to dry after printing. How much does shipping & handling cost?
Mailed For You (see above): you pay $0.30 plus the actual cost of the stamp. Currently, first-class stamps to the United States are $0.49 each. For all other countries, the cost is $1.15 each. There are no other handling charges. Cards sent via Mailed For You usually arrive within 1-5 business days of shipping.
Shipped To You (see above): For any number of Cards, Address Labels, Gift Tags, Ornaments, or Circle products placed in a single order, you pay $8.99 flat-rate for Standard shipping. For any quantity of Custom Wall Decals placed in a single order, you pay $8.99 flat-rate for Standard shipping. For any quantity of Bamboo Wall Art placed in a single order, you pay $8.99 flat-rate for Standard shipping. Standard shipping Shipped To You orders are sent via Ground delivery (usually 1-5 days in transit). For example, if you order both Cards and Wall Decals, you will be ordering products across two shipping categories; your shipping charge will be $8.99 * 2 = $17.98, because each of these types of products must be shipped separately. You also have two options to expedite delivery: 2 Day ("Expedited") delivery for $25.00, or Overnight ("Express") delivery for $35.00. To upgrade to Expedited or Express shipping, select the shipping method on the Billing page in checkout. Upgrades to Expedited and Express shipping are not available for Bamboo Wall Art. Delivery estimates apply to shipments made to the continental United States only. Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other US territories usually take longer.
Do you ship internationally?
Unfortunately, no – with a small exception.
We currently require a credit card issued in the United States and that has a current United States billing address. In addition, we can only ship Shipped To You packages to the United States.
If you do have a US-based credit card, we can mail your cards to your international recipients, with our Mailed For You service. You pay $1.15 for a stamp to any country outside the United States, and we will mail it on your behalf through the US Postal system. Mailing times will vary significantly by country, and we cannot provide any tracking, nor can we guarantee delivery for international addresses.
We do, however, ship to all United States addresses, including military and APO/FPO addresses, and US Territories.

How is tax calculated?
Unfortunately, there’s no simple answer to this question. Tax is calculated based on the location of the recipient of our product. We charge state, county and city taxes for all cities in California. The rates vary by city.
For Shipped To You delivery, this is relatively easy. The location that determines the tax rate is the address where the Shipped To You package is delivered.
For Full Service Delivery, the location that determines the tax rate is different for each card we send on your behalf. For example, you have 100 Full Service Delivery cards that we send on your behalf. If 85 of those cards go to states other than California, there will be no tax charged for those 85 cards. For the remaining 15 cards, say 10 go to San Francisco - 9.5% tax (as of May 1, 2009) will be applied, and say the remaining 5 cards go to Burlingame, CA - 9.25% tax (as of May 1, 2009) will be applied. Yes, if you have a headache, we understand. We do too!

Absolutely. Our company is based in California, and we do our production exclusively in the United States. In fact, beyond being "Made in the USA" we've taken a pledge to give back to do our part to make our homes a better place. As an example, through our Cards to Trees program, we plant a tree with every order placed in an effort to promote reforestation.
